Sagecrest Circle and Old Road July 9, 2016 at 12:05 PM.
Unified Command with Los Angeles County Fire and Sheriff’s Department.
Mutual Aid Partners, Los Angeles City Fire Department, Orange County Fire Authority, USFS/ ANF, Ventura County Fire Department, Verdugo – (Pasadena, Glendale and Burbank FD)
* ACREAGE: Approximately 1100 CONTAINMENT: 85% CAUSE: Under Investigation
* TOTAL UNIFORMED PERSONNEL: Approximately 700 personnel
* INJURIES: 3 Fire Fighters with Minor Injuries
* AIR RESOURCES – 2 Aircraft: 1 Cal Fire Helo/ 1 Fixed Wing
* STRUCTURES DAMAGED OR DESTROYED: 1 structure damaged, cause under investigation
* EVACUATIONS: None at this time
* EVACUATION SHELTERS: None at this time
Evacuated citizens were allowed to return to their homes as of 9:30 pm Saturday, the 9th of July. Residents should continue to use extreme caution as they move back into the fire area. Fire apparatus will be on the move throughout the community creating a significant traffic hazard.
Road closures will continue in Pico Cyn. West of Whispering Oaks Rd. and The Old Rd. at Calgrove. Further closures will continue at Sage Crest South and The Old Rd. These closures are scheduled to be lifted at 8:00p.m. this evening.
Fire Fighters will continue to extinguish hot spots, provide structure defense and to improve containment lines throughout the evening.
