As an addendum to this piece, Kim Rhode, an Olympian double trap and skeet shooter has ties to the Santa Clarita Valley. She uses the Oak Tree Gun Club in Newhall as her home range and incredibly by her winning a bronze in Rio, is the first Summer Olympian to win an individual medal at six consecutive games!
Congratulations to Kim, as we also consider her one of our own!
