There’s so much going on this weekend, you’d need to be eight people to catch it all. And SCVTV “House Blend” stars – everyone mentioned here – are all over the place.
Thursday night, The Narwhals play the House of Blues in West Hollywood. That’s also Cowboy Night at the Senses block party on Main Street in Old Town Newhall.
Friday, around the corner at the VU UltraBar, it’s rockabilly night, with Hard Six on the bill.
All that sets the stage for the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival Saturday and Sunday, also in Old Town Newhall and Hart Park during the day.

Hard Six
Saturday at 6 p.m., Country Showdown favorite Marie Wise-Hawkins and her band will rock Heritage Junction. At 7 p.m., the fahr.west Sessions go acoustic at It’s a Grind in Castaic, while John Stratton plays the House of Blues on Sunset.
Not a music fan? Saturday is SCV Dodger Day at Dodger Stadium. See scvdodgerday.com.
And Sunday at noon, Pat Nason and The Regular Crew play their last gig with this lineup, at Adams’ Pack Station in Arcadia.
Looking ahead, tickets are still available for the Summer Meltdown festival April 25 at the Santa Clarita Skate Park. This Saturday night at 10, you can see a very cool preview on “House Blend,” hosted by yours truly, at scvhouseblend.com or on SCVTV.
Santa Clarita journalist Stephen K. Peeples is a features writer and photographer for AM 1220 KHTS Radio News and the station’s award-winning website (HometownStation.com), and for SCVTV’s SCVNews.com. Peeples also hosts and co-produces SCVTV’s acclaimed “House Blend” music and interview program, and posts more entertainment news and reviews on his own site at http://www.stephenkpeeples.com.
