For the second time in a month, Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies have arrested people suspected of possession and/or selling unlawful drugs at the park and ride lot off Highway 14 at Golden Valley Road in Canyon Country.
Here’s the story from the station’s social media:
“Deputies patrolling Thursday around 9 a.m. observed a car parked at the Golden Valley ‘Park and Ride’ that did not have license plates.
“Upon taking a closer look, they noticed a man inside who appeared to be sleeping, with two small dogs.
“After deputies woke the man to check on his welfare, they discovered a large quantity of methamphetamine in the vehicle, along with a stun gun.
“Deputies also learned the 48-year-old man had a prior criminal history.
“Deputies arrested the Long Beach man on felony narcotics sales and weapon charges. The suspect was transported and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s jail.
“Deputies kept a watchful eye on the pups until an LA (County) Animal Care and Control officer could respond and transport the pups for evaluation.”
