The Master’s University may not have a football team, but that won’t stop the excitement surrounding Super Bowl weekend from coming to the Santa Clarita campus.
On Friday, Feb. 11, two days before the Super Bowl is set to be played in nearby Inglewood, TMU’s Sport Management program will host a live event with Faith on the Field, a nationally recognized Christian radio show known for its faith-centered discussions with professional athletes.
The event will be moderated by Rob Maaddi, the host of the Faith on the Field podcast and a longtime NFL reporter for the Associated Press. He will interview special guests Sam Acho and Kelli Masters.
Acho, a current football analyst at ESPN, played nine seasons in the NFL for three different teams – Arizona Cardinals, Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also served as vice president of the NFL Players’ Association.
Masters, an NFL sports agent, is the president and founder of the sports management company KMM Sports. She has been a trailblazer in the industry, becoming the first female sports agent of a first round NFL Draft pick. Masters has also represented MLB Draft selections and Olympians.
The live discussion will begin at 7 p.m. in The MacArthur Center and conclude around 8:30 p.m.
The event is free to the public, but tickets must be reserved in advance to attend. To register and for more information on the event, visit https://www.masters.edu/fotf.
