Valencia Water Co. is providing free water-use efficiency services for businesses within its service area during the months of October and November 2016 as part of its “Water Champs Great Commercial Leak Sweep Program.”
As we enter the next phase of California’s ongoing drought, VWC wants to help its commercial customers tune up their water use with water-efficient faucets and fixtures, locate leaks, and identify other water saving opportunities to help become a “Water Champion” and to lower their water bills.
This FREE service will be conducted by VWC’s consultant, WaterWise, which will be proactively reaching out to all VWC commercial customers. The program may include the following services (as needed):
* Checking for toilet leaks and installing new flappers
* Installing new high-efficiency bathroom and kitchen aerators, and pre-rinse spray valves
* Providing a push broom for cleaning up the exterior of your business
* Providing information on available rebates and incentive programs
* Providing a Water Champions decal for your display
This service is voluntary and is provided to businesses at no cost. Businesses that do not wish to be contacted by WaterWise or VWC can opt-out by calling the conservation department at 661-295-6531 or by email at Conservation@valenciawater.com.
Valencia Water Company will showcase participating businesses – those which earn the “Water Champions” logo – on VWC’s website and Facebook page.
“We look forward to working together to eliminate water waste and increase water use efficiency in the small business community,” Dickens said.

Great. The real business efficiency might be to stop making their rate payers pay $800,000 a year in dividends to Castaic Lake Water Agency. This is why a water monopoly in the SCV is bad news for the public. Hope everyone will oppose it.
