Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station
Crime Prevention Unit
As the leader for Zone 3 it is my goal to keep you informed of the very latest crime trends and public safety information. The following is a snap shot of the Part-1 crimes reported this past week.
A Residential Burglary occurred on the 25700 block of Hood Way in Stevenson Ranch. A Trek road bicycle was stolen from an open garage. Don’t be a victim! Never leave your garage open and unattended. It only takes a few seconds for thieves to steal your bike, tools, or other valuables.
A Grand Theft was reported on the 28100 Block of The Old Road. A large amount of copper wire was stolen.
A Grand Theft was reported on the 25200 block of The Old Road, where a woman’s purse was stolen while she was having breakfast at the location.
A Vehicle Burglary was reported at the Ed Davis Towsley Canyon Park on Wednesday morning, July 18th. The vehicle’s rear window was smashed and personal items, which had been left in plain view, were stolen from the back seat area. Don’t be a victim! Never leave valuables in plain view. Take them with you or lock them in the trunk.
Seven thefts were reported at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Purses and backpacks containing personal items such as cell phones, I Pods, credit cards, jewelry and cash were stolen from various ride platforms. Don’t be a victim! Park officials are urging patrons to secure their valuables in the lockers that are provided rather than leaving them unattended on the ride platforms.
Remember, by continuing to work together we will send a “not in Santa Clarita” message.
