The Santa Clarita Public Library invites residents to attend an evening with Tess Rafferty, author of “”Recipes for Disaster,”” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Old Town Newhall Library, located at 24500 Main Street.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Santa Clarita Public Library, Rafferty will speak about her new memoir, “Recipes for Disaster,” which includes delicious recipes, useful life tips and a practical approach to culinary excellence. Light refreshments will be served and copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.
Known as the “Bridget Jones” of today with her heart, humor and honesty, Rafferty has been a writer for the witty pop culture show E!’s “The Soup,” Comedy Central’s roast of Roseanne and has her own web series, “Grace Church.” This is Rafferty’s first published book, which was released in fall 2012.
“Tess Rafferty is a high-spirited comedian and we are excited to give community members a chance to hear more about her story and passions at the Old Town Newhall Library,” said Mayor Bob Kellar. “This free author event is a great opportunity for those with a culinary flair to enjoy a fun evening filled with laughter, recipes and humorous stories.”
