The Master’s College men’s soccer program is proud to announce the signing of Kyle Cunningham.

Cunningham, a native of Valencia, California, will bring depth to the goalkeeper position for the Mustangs in the fall of 2013.

Honing his goalkeeping skills with the Pasadena based CZ Elite soccer club, Cunningham has over a decade of experience at the position, averaging five blocked shots per game.

While his overarching goal is to pursue a professional career in soccer, Cunningham will also prepare for a career off the field by majoring in Communication with an emphasis on film studies.

Cunningham is most excited about the atmosphere and experience The Master’s College has to offer.  “I want to know more about the Bible, and grow with the people around me.”

As a freshman, Cunningham enters The Master’s College with three fundamental goals: know more about the Bible, learn more about the subject of film, and build great relationships with his teammates.

Mustang soccer head coach Jim Rickard assesses the new recruit by being a great goalkeeper who commands the field very well.  “Kyle comes out strong, quick, and has good hands. He’s been trained at a high level, and I feel like he can make immediate contributions.”

The Master’s College men’s soccer team went 8-10-1 (4-5-1 GSAC) in 2012 and will be parting ways with five players.

The Mustangs are slated to open their season August 22 against Jamestown College of North Dakota at the Westminster Tournament held in Salt Lake City, Utah.
