The Santa Clarita Valley International Program has joined local efforts to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. The local nonprofit is accepting check or cash donations that will be used to provide much-needed medical supplies for the Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center in Tacloban City which was the hardest hit area, and to help with relief efforts.
The typhoon left widespread damage in the country, with thousands of lives lost, and tens of thousands of people displaced and in immediate need of aid. The United Nations estimate 13 million people were affected by this catastrophe. Those severely impacted are without the very basic needs, including food, water, and medicine.
Check or cash donations may be sent to the Santa Clarita Valley International Program, c/o the City of Santa Clarita, Attn: Tess Simgen, 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Suite 120, Santa Clarita, CA 91355. Checks should be made payable to SCVIP.
SCVIP is a non-profit organization whose mission is to “connect local to global” by focusing on the development of sister city relationships and projects that promote mutually beneficial strategic alliances and international goodwill between the people of Santa Clarita and people of international cities/countries. Santa Clarita has two sister cities, one of which is in the Philippines.

can you help me contact the parents of the baby who died Athhea Mustacisa, or the doctor who cared for the baby I could help with direct help for the babies proper burial. These babies should have and still should be evacuated from this hospital, baby Mustacuisa would may be still be alive. the doctors name is DR. leslie Rosario
