The City of Santa Clarita, in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, will provide FREE flu vaccinations on Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Val Verde Park, and on Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Newhall Community Center.
Flu vaccinations are an excellent precautionary way for people to protect themselves during flu season. Each year, the City of Santa Clarita partners with the L.A. County Department of Public Health to offer complimentary inoculations to help safeguard residents from seasonal flu symptoms.
Flu vaccines will be provided free of charge and are recommended to anyone six months of age and older, including healthy adults. Inoculations will be available while supplies last, so residents are encouraged to arrive early. Residents with severe egg allergies or those who feel sick on the day of the clinic are encouraged to check with their doctor before being vaccinated.
Val Verde Park is located at 30300 Arlington Street. The Newhall Community Center is located at 22421 Market Street. Clinic dates and times are subject to change. For more information please contact the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health at (818) 487-0063.
