A teenager accused of posing as a customer and then running out of a Stevenson Ranch gun store with a handgun was arrested Wednesday.
Darion Phillips, 18, of Santa Clarita, was arrested at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday, according to Sheriff’s Department arrest records.
Deputies received a call around 1:11 p.m. Tuesday about a store on the 25200 block of The Old Road in Stevenson Ranch, where someone posing as a customer walked into a store, picked out a handgun and then ran out of the store before employees could stop him. No ammunition was stolen, according to the report.
An initial search of the area did not yield a suspect, who fled the scene on a skateboard, according to witnesses.
