The CSUN Art Galleries are pleased to present part two of an exhibition featuring artwork made by full and part-time faculty in the Department of Art. More than thirty artists showcase current bodies of work, using a variety of materials and processes. The Department of Art at CSUN fosters an inclusive experience, and this exhibition provides an opportunity for the community to engage in and view contemporary art discourse with work produced by artists who are active in their respective fields.
After the success of “Full and Part (one)” in spring 2016, which featured faculty members teaching three-dimensional art classes at CSUN, “Full and Part (two)” sustains this inclusive spirit by inviting faculty members teaching two-dimensional art classes to exhibit works that represent their distinct practices. While they teach in a variety of areas, including Animation, Digital/Video, Drawing, Graphic Design, Illustration, Painting, Photography, and Printmaking, their respective works may or may not reflect this training. At last count, the Department of Art has twenty-four full-time and more than sixty part-time faculty who serve over 1000 students majoring in Art.
