The 30th annual SCV Relay for Life, a fundraising event for the American Cancer Society, takes over Central Park this weekend, starting Saturday at 9 a.m. For the seventh year, DJ Greg will host musical entertainment for the runners. The 2015 lineup features 10 local bands, including Skinny Little Twits, Saltillo Creek, Rocket 68, The Hailers, Mojo Blues, Just Us, Rebel Heart, Francesca Capasso, Right Side Up and the Mojo Filter Blues Band. On Saturday night, SCV Blues Society award-winning band Wumbloozo throws down at the Crow’s Nest Sports Grille, just up the 210 in Tujunga. Speaking of the SCV Blues Society, discounted advance tickets for the 8th Annual Santa Clarita Valley Blues Festival are on sale now. The festival takes over Heritage Junction at Hart Park on Sunday, May 31, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. On the bill are the Fortune Blues Band, the Alan Wright Band, BullFish, Kelly’s Lot, Toni Dodd & Southbound Blues, Francesca Capasso, The Scorch Sisters, and Chuck Strong & SRBQ.
