Update: The driver of a Chevrolet was driving on the northbound I-5 south of Parker Road at approximately 11:40 a.m. Saturday before making an unsafe turning movement to the right, causing the vehicle to proceed down an embankment and overturn, according to a CHP news release.

As a result of the collision, the right rear passenger, Yolanda Ochoa, 44, of Vacaville, was ejected from the rear seat, according to a CHP news release.

The driver and two passengers were transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.

Ochoa succumbed to her injuries while at Henry Mayo at 12:55 p.m.

The driver sustained moderate injuries while the other passenger sustained minor injuries, according to a CHP news release.

The driver and his passengers were traveling from San Diego early in the morning, enroute to the Sacramento area, according to a CHP news release.

Due to the location of the collision, no traffic was affected.

Alcohol or drug use is not suspected as a factor for the collision. The investigation regarding the collision is ongoing.

A single-vehicle traffic collision on northbound Interstate 5 on Saturday around noon resulted in the death of one person injuries to two others.

One vehicle went over the northbound side of the freeway near Parker Road, said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.

Three passengers were transported to a local hospital, said Supervisor Cheryl Sims of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

One person was pronounced dead at the hospital, said California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball.

The Los Angeles County Department of Coroner has been notified, Kimball said.

The collision was reported at 11:46 a.m., said Kimball.
