[KHTS] – A Canyon Country man is being held without bail after he was accused of hiring a hitman to kill his wife.
Dino Guglielmelli, 52, of Macmillan Ranch Road, was arrested Oct. 5 after an investigation by the Major Crimes Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“He’s charged with attempted murder and solicitation to commit murder,” said Deputy District Attorney Emily Cole of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
“I know (Guglielmelli and his wife) are in divorce proceedings, but they’re still technically married,” Cole said, a fact that was debated in open court.
“He was brought in for arraignment and they put it over (until Nov. 19),” Cole said.
Detectives with the Major Crimes Bureau in Los Angeles did not return calls seeking comment on the case.
Guglielmelli runs a natural products company focused on alternative medicine. He founded Creation’s Garden in 1993, according to the company’s website.
Creation’s Garden has more than 300 employees, over 165,000 square feet of manufacturing and maintains a state of the art analytical laboratory with experienced biochemists, research developers and microbiologists, the website stated.
Guglielmelli is being held without bail at PItchess Detention Center in Castaic.
He is due back in San Fernando at Los Angeles Superior Court.
