I Don’t feel bad for the teens that got hurt. They did it to themselves by not putting their seat belts on that take a whole 2 seconds. Too worried about looking cool and be dumb then their safety and others. Parents need to do a better job at telling and showing their children how important it really is. I feel bad for their families.

This coming from the guy studying Criminal Justice…. And a young immature kid using the words “Awesome Town” haha let me know where you stand in a couple years when you complete your degree when you see many deaths with teens your age not wearing seat belts
The parents may have done just that. They may have taught their kids right from wrong and to wear their seat belts. You can make all the rules you want for kids. But as soon as they leave the house you don’t have any control over what you can’t see.

I agree with Ashley Fuentez they were being stupid and probably trying to race. They aren’t experienced drivers and lost control probably. Its their own stupid decisions that got them hurt.
They are alive and probably walking away with a valuable lesson they will carry with them the rest of their lives right? Thank God. Were we all perfect as teenagers? Nope. Glad Facebook wasn’t around then for people who don’t know me to bash my mistakes as a young kid.

Lesson learned the hard way for these young ladies but 2 questions :
1. Weren’t they out past “curfew?”
2. Did driver have her license long enough (the year stated by law) to have friends in car?
My guess is 1. Yes and 2. No. I believe they were headed to a party in which case, maybe this accident saved their lives. Who knows what would’ve happened had they reached the party, drank and then drive home. Our valley may have just had to bury 5 more children. I pray that they have learned a lesson and will recover from their injuries.
I feel for their parents it’s my worst nightmare .. Hope they learned their lesson
Those were the same questions I had. I feel for their parents and hope everyone, including the parents, follow any rules that may have been circumvented here in the future. Best for all their recoveries.

I’m so thankful that these girls are pulling through. Let us not judge them and be grateful that they’re still alive. I’m certain they all wish thing could have been done differently and that’s something they have to deal with. I’m sure this has been a life lesson for them.
To the girls: Please consider being an advocate for safe driving. Share your story, you may help save someone else’s life.

They weren’t trying to race anyone. The driver was being reckless, going over 80 mph in a 55. She was swerving and not paying attention to the road. No one was racing, no one was drunk, and no one was trying to “look cool.” Don’t assume things.
Katrina you were not there, you do not know the facts, please stop spreading rumors
Pardon me? I’m best friends with the girl who got injured the worst, don’t tell me I don’t know what happened. I’ve been at the hospital since the moment I got the call, I do know the facts thanks.

I agree Abu Dhabi You don’t need to read these ignorant comments. People have no clue what they are talking about and no business projecting and guessing at what happened. These comments are insensitive and the people saying them are not considering how they would feel if it was their own family in that car. Accidents happen and its not always drugs or racing or being reckless that caused them.
People stop assuming things and creating rumors that are not true. Please pray for everyone involved. There were no drugs racing or misconduct. No laws were broken. Accidents are accidents and blaming these girls help no one. Lots of prayers going out to all the girls and their families
So sad. Some of the comments on here left by people. Especially this Ashley person. If you can’t show support for the family and friends that are hurting and in desperate need of support, just keep your comments to yourself. My daughter is having a very hard time right now as her best friends little sister is one of the girls ejected from the car and is not doing well. You are a heartless person. I’m sorry your life is so miserable you have to try and make others miserable.
FYI I said I felt bad for their families. That’s showing support. No where did I wish them harm. I don’t have to keep my comments to myself I can speak freely. I understand due to choices those teens made their friends and families are in deep pain. Again like I stated before I feel bad for them ( parents family and friends). How does that make me a heartless person? Everyone has consequences by the choices they make. No need to go after my character. People especially teens in a city that just had the white ribbon week should have and be careful. I didn’t make one person miserable if you can’t handle others opinions that’s on you!

I was at the hospital when one of the girls was being released. I overheard her tell someone that the driver was going over 100mph. An exaggeration? Maybe. But, obviously speed was a contributing factor. It’s so sad, with all the education about reckless driving, that these unnecessary accidents still happen. They are lucky they are still alive. I hope they all recover ok.

Everyone needs to stop assuming that every time a teenager gets into a car accident they were automatically drinking or doing drugs or racing or speeding. NO, alcohol was not involved, NO, they were not racing, and NO laws were broken.
And like many of the people who actually know the girls involved, please listen to us and stop coming up with assumptions.
This was a innocent ACCIDENT.

That is scary. I hope speed or texting was not involved and everyone heals quick.
Once again, please keep your comments positive, you are hurting all involved while they are trying to heal, prayers are welcome and good wishes, not assumptions and rumors, they are causing the families stress, I understand freedom of speech, but to make a forum where people can be just as horrible and rude as bullies shouldn’t be allowed. If any crime was committed it should be the way some of you are all behaving. Please I am requesting people look deep inside and use the goodness you have to pray for these girls not be mean. It will go farther for healing for all involved. Thank you
