Before you say stuff about scv, crime happens everywhere. Yes there is crime in scv but not as much as other places like antelope valley or San Fernando. This stuff happens everywhere

My point is that Santa Clarita has less crime than most places and people are acting like they’ve never been outside of scv or they freak out when any crime happens here
Austin Currado there is far more crime in SCV than ever before. Same element that arrived in the AV thanks to Los Angeles. .is now discovering the SCV ..I grew up there . I live in Quartz Hill. .my little town has very low crime. ..other areas ..a lot of crime. Also you all don’t see what officers see. Time to accept the arrival of crime
I also lived in Palmdale for 12 years and there was a lot of crime there but we moved to scv recently and there is crime but far less than antelope valley. I do understand that AV used to be nice with low crime, my parents told me. I am also aware that more crime is happening in scv but there still isn’t a lot of crime here

And you say that the AV has been taken over by crime yet you say quartz hill has very low crime. Quartz hill is in the antelope valley

And for those asking about what is happening in SCV, there are more people so there will be more crime. It is still very safe. Most of the crime, unfortunately is domestic violence related. (Family things)

Canyon Country has the same resources as Valencia. Maybe now you are seeing that crime is everywhere. Even in Valencia.
I think the anemic economic recovery and high rents are to blame. Not enough jobs that pay enough to rent an apartment are keeping kids at home for way too long. This is increasing frustration and tension in the home.
On my street at the top of Saugus all the kids that grew up there are now 20-30 years old and still living at home even though they work full time. Most of them have finished college or had at least some college. They can’t afford 1500.00 to 1800.00 rents with jobs that pay less than 15.00 an hour.

This was literally in my backyard as its the neighbors on my back fence. We just moved to the area in September from Santa Monica and I have to say we have been hearing the police helicopter out quite a bit since moving here. I know the crime is lower here but it is on the rise.
