The Master’s University golf team placed 10th out of 18 teams with a collective score of 889 (296-297-296) at the Battle at Primm on the greens of the Primm Valley Golf Course.
Oklahoma City placed first overall at 852 (282-289-281), while William Jessup University led all competing Golden State Athletic Conference teams by earning a cumulative team score of 872 (284-302-286).
Josh Delo led the Mustangs’ efforts by carding a final score of 220 (70-71-79) and tying for 27th overall. Samuel Eisenhuth earned a collective score of 224 (73-77-75) and tied for 41st place, while Karsten Briley tied for 50th overall at 226 (75-78-73). Finally Joseph Downey (80-74-74) and Robert Penalber (78-75-75) tied for 56th place after carding collective scores of 228.
Next up for the Mustangs is the GSAC Championships from April 24-25 on the links of the Carlton Oaks Country Club in Santee, CA.
Last year, the Mustangs earned its second-consecutive conference tournament title after earning a final score of 904 (300-302-302) at the 2016 GSAC on the greens of the Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms. Notably, former TMU golf standout Blake McPherson took home the individual title with a final score of six-over 222 (74-75-73).
