A Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter flew a pediatric patient in need of emergency treatment from Saugus to UCLA Medical Center late Monday morning, according to LACoFD officials.
“We received a call about a stroke (victim) at 10:14 this morning, were en route at 10:16 a.m. and on scene at 10:23 a.m.,” said Austin Bennett, LACoFD spokesperson.
“It was to the 27500 block of Label Avenue in Santa Clarita,” Bennett said.
He confirmed the patient was a child but did not have age or gender information or further details about the child’s condition.
An LACoFD Air Squad helicopter took off from Central Park in Saugus at 11:04 a.m. with the child en route to the hospital, Bennett said.
