The final numbers are in for the Tick Fire, which ignited at 1:24 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24.
The fire was fully contained as of 6:00 a.m. Thursday, but not before it scorched 4,615 acres.
Four firefighters were injured, 45 structures damaged, 29 structures were destroyed, including 23 residences, one commercial/residential and five outbuildings. Approximately 40,000 residents were ordered to evacuate at the height of the fire. But all evacuations were lifted by Sunday, Oct. 27.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, 122 firefighters began demobilization process Thursday morning and the area will continue to be monitored by local fire stations.
While there were no fatalities, homicide detectives found human remains near an area affected by the Tick Fire. However, those remains are not believed to be the result of the blaze.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
