Three adult suspects got a “wake-up call” by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies early Thursday morning, and wound up in jail for possession of methamphetamine and heroin.
Here’s the story from the station’s official social media:
The suspects, who were in their 40s, were found sleeping in a vehicle.
Deputies were conducting patrol checks in Sierra Highway neighborhoods around 3 a.m. Thursday and noticed a parked vehicle with its engine running.
That in itself wasn’t odd — but then deputies noticed the windshield wipers were on. Seeing that it wasn’t raining outside and the wipers weren’t shutting off, they decided to take a closer look.
Inside the vehicle, deputies discovered three adults (two males, one female) sleeping soundly, along with narcotics paraphernalia in plain view.
Deputies politely knocked on the side window in an effort to stir the occupants.
Long story short, all three were arrested because they were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and heroin.
One of the suspects was from Canyon Country, and the other two were from the San Fernando Valley.
They were transported and booked at the SCV Sheriff’s Station.

Current law does absolutely nothing to these people.
They had their picture taken and were released.
And they’ll be out by this afternoon and doing drugs before the sun goes down. Our Sheriffs department does a great job arresting them . Its our court system that drops the ball. Its time to take the kid gloves off. People need to fear what will happen if they are arrested. Right now they just laugh it off because there are no consequences. Wow a fine ,maybe a little jail time or probation. How many more criminals are we going to read about being arrested six or seven times within a two or three year period. That’s nonsense.
