National Night Out

We had a fun time at National Night Out in Palmdale last Tuesday. Thank you to the City of Palmdale, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s and Fire Departments, and everyone else who made this a great event.

Last Wednesday I started my morning chatting with members of the AV Veterans Coalition at Coffee for Veterans at Birdies Palmdale. Thanks for having me!

Legislative Update

My next stop after the breakfast was at the Hellenic Center in Lancaster where I gave a legislative update to the Greater Antelope Valley Association of Realtors, Inc. Thank you for hosting; it was a pleasure answering your questions.

I finished up Wednesday evening with our final Tele Town Hall, which we held with members of the community in the Antelope Valley. Thanks for everyone who participated.

Talking Aerospace
On August 11th we attended the Antelope Valley Board of Trade’s Aerospace Committee to give a legislative update and to talk about various initiatives in Congress to improve aerospace operations in our region. Thank you to the Don Rhea and Al Hoffman for your leadership with this committee.

On Friday I started my day at the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce Networking Breakfast. I always enjoy meeting with the great business owners in the community and listening to their concerns.

Service Academy Information Day
If you know any young men or women who are interested in applying to a Military Service Academy, please tell them to mark their calendars for Military Academy information Day on September 17. This event is open to all interested residents of California’s 25th Congressional District who are 17 to 21 years of age. It is also open to those Freshmen through Junior class high school students preparing for application. We will have information packets and all of the materials you will need in order to understand the process and requirements to apply to a Service Academy.
