Valencia: Public Safety and Crime Information Report for the Week of February 15, 2016
Last week, the following crimes occurred in Valencia (Zone 5):
Arson – 25100 block of Avenida Rondel. An unknown suspect ignited a small pile of wood scraps on an elementary school playground. There was no damage reported to the school, only to the concrete flooring where the fire was started.
Grand Theft – 24200 block of Magic Mountain Parkway. Two female suspects entered the location and stole approximately $2,000 in merchandise. The suspects then exited the store and fled the area.
Grand Theft – 23300 block of Valencia Boulevard. After shopping at a store, the victim left her purse in the shopping cart as she placed items in her car. She drove away from the location leaving her purse behind. She immediately returned to the parking lot and noticed the shopping cart was still in the same spot, but her purse was gone.
Grand Theft Auto – 23000 block of Vista Delgado. An unknown suspect stole the victim’s vehicle while it was parked at the location.
Vehicle Burglary – 23500 block of Bridgeport Lane. Unknown suspect(s) smashed a vehicle’s window and stole a purse containing several credit cards and season passes to an amusement park.
Commercial Burglary – 23200 block of Valencia Boulevard. A male suspect was arrested from the location for commercial burglary and fraudulent use of an access card.
Petty Theft – 24200 block of Valencia Boulevard. A female suspect was arrested for trying to leave the location with unpaid items in her possession.
