Canyon Country (West) Crime Prevention and Public Safety Information for the week of 01/18/16- 01/24/16
The following crimes are currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives:
An attempt robbery occurred near the intersection of Centre Pointe Parkway and Ruether Avenue. The suspect was arrested for threatening the victim if he did not give him a piece of his candy.
A robbery occurred near the intersection of Rainbow Glen Drive and Golden Triangle Road. During a domestic issue, the suspect forcefully grabbed the victim’s car keys from her hand and took her vehicle. The suspect was arrested for robbery and grand theft auto.
An aggravated assault occurred near the 26700 block of Isabella Parkway. The suspect was arrested for assault on a peace officer and cruelty to children.
A grand theft auto occurred near the intersection of Pleasantdale Street and Deep Tree Street. One suspect was arrested after a deputy observed him driving erratically. A traffic stop was conducted, and it was discovered that the vehicle was stolen.
A vehicle burglary occurred near the intersection of Mandan Street and Luther Drive. Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s vehicle and stole items from within.
A petty theft occurred near the 18500 block of Soledad Canyon Road. Person(s) unknown entered the victim’s unlocked tool shed and stole a chop saw.
