Last week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred: (2) Aggravated Assaults, (1) Burglary to a Vehicle, (2) Shoplifts

An aggravated assault occurred near the intersection of Delight Street and Bakerton Ave.  The victim was hit numerous times in the head by an unknown suspect.  While at the hospital the victim refused to give deputy personnel a statement regarding the incident.  It was later determined this incident was gang related.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.

A spousal assault occurred near the 20000 block of Shadow Island Drive.  The victim stated she was strangled by the suspect for approximately 4-5 seconds then thrown to the ground.  While on the ground the suspect kicked the victim in the back.  The suspect fled the scene prior to the deputies’ arrival.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.

A burglary to a vehicle occurred near the 18800 block of Mandan Street.  The suspect forced open the driver side door with an unknown tool and stole the victims GPS from within.  This investigation is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.

A shoplifting occurred at Costco in Canyon Country.  Two suspects entered the store and retrieved a PlayStation3 and attempted to walk out of the store without paying for the item.  The two suspects were arrested shortly after the deputies’ arrival.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
