A 24-year-old Canyon Country man arrested for DUI early Saturday was allegedly driving at nearly three times the legal blood alcohol limit and with a suspended license, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station authorities.
Here’s more of the story from the station’s social media:
“Deputies patrolling during early morning hours Saturday spotted a vehicle making an illegal turn at a red light on Golden Triangle Road.
“The deputy conducted a traffic stop, and upon making contact with the male adult driver, he noticed the smell of alcohol and that the driver’s speech was slurred.
“The driver’s B.A.C. level was determined to be .23, nearly three times the legal limit.
“The deputy also learned that the man’s driver’s license was suspended and he had prior convictions for DUI.
“The deputy arrested the man on multiple charges, and transported him to the SCV Sheriff’s Station jail where he is being held on $100,000 bail.”
