The Castaic Lake Water Agency Board of Directors voted Sept. 10 to adopt a formal position in support of the $7.545 billion water bond measure set for the November ballot.
Titled the Water Quality, Supply and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014, the bond will appear as Proposition 1 on the ballot. The CLWA Board voted to support the measure, saying it contains much-needed funding for new surface and groundwater storage projects, regional water reliability, sustainable groundwater management and cleanup, water recycling, water conservation and watershed protection.
The bond measure was approved in a bipartisan vote by the Legislature and signed by Gov. Jerry Brown on August 13, 2014. It is considered a critical element of the state’s comprehensive water plan. A diverse array of interest groups supports the measure, including organizations representing water, agriculture, the conservation community, labor and business. The measure was supported unanimously by the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) Board of Directors on August 19, 2014.
“California’s record-setting drought has affected the entire state, including the Santa Clarita Valley. However, Proposition 1 is about much more than that,” CLWA Board President Tom Campbell said. “This measure addresses the bigger questions surrounding our entire state’s water supply for decades to come. It would advance a plan that addresses coequal goals of water supply reliability and a healthy ecosystem, providing greater stability and certainty for future generations of Californians, including those who live and work in the Santa Clarita Valley.”

He have hands down the worst water in California. It tastes disgusting and ruins everything. If this measure does not focus on specifically and only those two things my vote will be no. Say NO to nasty hard water!!!
