Cesar Millan, the Dog Whisperer of television fame, says he is still alive and well, thank you very much.
A Spanish-language website, NoticiasUNAM, said the 45-year-old Saugus resident “died this morning in Santa Clarita hospital in California.”
The website lamented his death from a heart attack and said his body was expected to be shipped back to his native Sinaloa in Mexico.
The report was considered a hoax, but in fact it was make-believe. NoticiasUNAM says it’s a satirical entertainment site – but it says so only in Spanish, not English. It posted Millan’s phony death notice in English.

Millan expressed surprise at the news, telling his Twitter followers Wednesday: “Of course! I’m alive, calm and well!”
On Facebook and Instagram, a message attributed to Millan’s dog, Junior Millan, elaborated: “Reports of my Pack Leader’s untimely demise are greatly exaggerated. I can happily report he is safe, happy and healthy. I can also tell you he kept me up all night snoring, and my breakfast was a little late, but I did get a great morning walk. As Cesar keeps telling me: Exercise. Discipline. Affection. – the key to a long, balanced, and healthy life.”
