[News Release] – Pet owners are invited to keep their dogs happy and healthy by joining the City of Santa Clarita and Los Angeles County at the annual Low Cost Pet Vaccination, Microchip and Licensing Clinic on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Canine Country Dog Park, located at 20840 Centre Pointe Parkway.
Vaccinations available at the clinic include: a six-in-one vaccination for Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenze and Parvovius for $14; Bordetella vaccination for $15; and Rabies vaccination for $10. Rabies vaccinations are required by state law for all dogs four months and older.
Dog owners can also license for the first time or renew an existing license. License fees are $20 for spayed or neutered pets, $60 for unaltered pets, and $7.50 per pet for seniors. Proof of spay or neuter is required.
Additionally, L.A. County Animal Control will bring adoptable dogs to the clinic, which will be immunized, fixed and micro-chipped. Pet micro-chipping will also be offered at the clinic to residents for $15 per dog.
To participate in the clinic, all dogs must be on appropriate leashes with adequate collars to receive a vaccination, license or microchip. Both cash and check payments will be accepted at the pet clinic and owners interested in purchasing multiple services by check must bring a separate check for each service.
