The Castaic Lake Water Agency is planning to host a public meeting about the 2015 Urban Water Management Plan, which will plan out the community’s water situation through 2050.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan 26, 2016 at 6 p.m. located at Castaic Lake Water Agency, 27234 Bouquet Canyon Road.
The report required by the state of california for all major water retailers and wholesalers.
“The state wants the water retailers to indicate what their plans are for the next 20-25 years to prepare to meet water demands,” said Dirk Marks, water resources manager for CLWA. “Our plan is to take this to look out through 2050.”
CLWA looked at the current and projected population, the current and projected water demands as well as the sources of water supply.
The data on CLWA’s plan includes the Santa Clarita Water Division, Newhall County Water District, Valencia Water Company and Los Angeles County Waterworks District 36.
