The Real SIde | Commentary by Joe Messina
| Monday, Jun 30, 2014

joemessinamugThis was a heavy news week. Tens of thousands of illegals trampled over our borders. Where is the president? Out campaigning. The head of the IRS knew about the missing or lost emails at the last hearing, yet said nothing. Where is the president? Out campaigning. Five nasty terrorists are released for one U.S. soldier. Where is the president? Out campaigning.

What’s he campaigning for? He already won. We are stuck with him 2.5 more years, maybe. (The smell of impeachment is in the air.) Many of the Democrats running for office don’t want him involved. Some have even asked him to stay away.

The president went on attacking Republicans for all of his failures. Apparently, the man can’t take responsibility for anything. Anyone who thinks he is right all the time is a danger to himself and others.

Since I’ve been doing my radio show – now more than 700 of them “in the can” – I have reported many stories where this president has failed the American people miserably. At first, I thought it was incompetence. I thought maybe his years as a community organizer just didn’t give him sufficient exposure to be a real leader. Surely his years in the Legislature would have prepared him for the decision-making duties of a president? Right? I’m sure all those “present” votes on tough issues had to teach him something.

Yes, those experiences, and many others, have put him in a position to be the worst president in American history. By now, many Dems are begging to have Jimmy Carter back. In fact, I suspect many Republicans would rather have him back, as well.

We’ll pause here a moment to allow some of you to shout “racist” simply because I don’t agree with or like the president. Pause. OK, now back to reality.

This president doesn’t care for our borders at all. He has the money for it but has not finished the border fence. Why doesn’t he care? He doesn’t want borders. If he did, he would finish the fence, send down the guards and protect Americans. He’s not interested.

It’s interesting that Mexico usually captures, beats and returns those who cross over their southern borders illegally. Apparently that is no longer the case. We are seeing an influx of illegals coming from South America and Mexico in record numbers. Instead of following our own deportation rules, the president has told his people that we are to care for, document, feed and clothe those coming over the border illegally.

We can’t help our veterans. Only the illegals. We have homeless vets whom we can’t put in some of the military bases across the country, but we can, fly, bus and truck in illegals to occupy those places. We can fly in medical personnel and supplies, but we can’t do the same for our vets.

This president complained about Mr. Bush’s overreach of power and the many executive orders that Bush signed. However, he is catching up to that number fast. And if you “lefties” were being honest, there is a difference between the type of executive orders Bush signed and the ones Obama has signed. A majority of Obama’s executive orders change laws. That’s what the legislative branch is supposed to do. Bush’s executive orders largely revolved around sending needed medical supplies to third-world nations including Africa to help stop the spread of HIV.

This president continually lies (not misspeaks) about his healthcare plan, NSA spying, the Mexican-American gun-running scheme, his Benghazi cover-up, his IRS targeting conservatives, DOJ spying on the press, and too many more to list here. I could eat up this whole article listing how this president runs his office as a dictator.

His recent comments about how he will not wait for Congress shows his disdain for the American people, our laws and way of life. If he loved the people and the country, he would abide by the laws he swore to uphold. But the truth for him is very hard to find.

He repeatedly promised that this would be the most transparent administration ever. Yet the members of his loving media, CNN, MSNBC, ABC and others, have all said in the last few months that this has been the most closed administration they have ever seen, and many of them are 20-year news veterans. This administration now hands pictures and narratives to the press on what will be seen and printed. This sounds like Communist America to me, comrade.

He tweaks the laws to say what he wants them to say. He enforces the laws he wants to enforce. He spends money where he wants to. He issues executive orders to get the EPA, IRS and other departments to do what he wants them to do.

In essence, he and Attorney General Holder are the two most powerful men in this country. They have the tools and the will to make sure they get what they want to reshape America to what they believe it should look like, regardless of whether they are following our laws.

Let me reiterate: He writes the rules, he decides which ones get enforced, and he decides what peoples get what benefits. This is not a presidency.

Welcome to the regime known as the Obama Administration.

You should move to Canada. It seems you are so anti president in every post. Why don’t you give solutions big shot, instead of whining like a baby about your republican presidential loss!

  2. Wheres the congress is a better question.

  3. Ryan Orona says:

It’s disgusting what Obama is doing to the country and the rule of law.

The use of vulgar language is usually indicative of a sub-par IQ, SO I’ll type real slow for you:

If you want to cite sources, please use real sources, not left wing talking point regurgitating websites. Finally, your ability to swear impresses only you. Find a thesaurus and look up some alternatives.

  6. Chris Kramer says:

Very well written. Thanks Mr. Messina.

  7. msc545 says:

Yes, Messina, you are right. We never should have rescued that AMerican soldier. after all, the war is over, so what do we need him for ?

  8. Thomas Bravo says:

  9. Tawny Biggs says:

You are filth and an embarrassment to Santa Clarita. Thank you Paula!

  10. Kris Kelso says:

Another week and another repeat of the same column as last week and the week before that blah blah blah. Except this time he did change it up a bit he brought out community organizer and the attorney general. I love the communism comparison, it shows Joe’s lack of knowledge and perspective on history, the current administration and how the country is run. So I look forward to another shallow, crazy, no substance rant about the president next week. I challenge you Joe to set aside your favorite and frankly only topic and write something of substance and fact and reality. Hell tell us what you ate for breakfast and try not to throw a rant in about the president and how he secretly hates eggs because they are too American.

  11. Like little children. Spoiled little children. Incapable of intellectual debate. Thanks for writing truth Mr. Messina. Drives the useful idiots crazy !?!

    • Bill says:

Funny! Intellectual debate? There’s absolutely no intellect here. He spews garbage, no facts and poorly thought through opinions. Everything thing he writes is easily disproved. He’s not even good at what he does. Hard to believe he even has a radio show but then again, it IS KHTS Santa Clarita. Time to boycott their sponsors.

  12. John T says:

    Hallelujah, Joe Messina. Well said.

  13. John T says:

WOW! It sure looks like the left wing loons, all 15 of them from the SCV, do nothing but spew out their venom in the form of embarrassing comments. I hope all 15 of you are happy with your incompetent president.

  14. Jaws Franz says:

Joe Messina, you always shoot your mouth off about the idiots of the world, what about the loud mouth idiots of the world who can’t put down the glazed donuts or the greasy cheese burgers>;) go swim in mud where you belong you puke promoting pig>:)

  15. Scott says:

Good read, Jim! Keep it up! This fraud was raised on Alinsky and Cloward/Piven and is doing everything he can to destroy what was once a great nation.

Also, thanks for providing great entertainment by way of the useful idiots chiming in.

As you step into William S. Hart Park, the sights and sounds of the Old West come alive. The rhythm of boots shuffling across the dance floor, the unmistakable aroma of Dutch oven peach cobbler drifting through the mesquite-scented air and the ringing of a blacksmith’s hammer all echo a time when Santa Clarita’s hills and valleys were shaped by cowboys living the frontier life.
