The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Crime Prevention Unit and Special Assignment Team arrested five people for outstanding warrants and narcotics-related charges this week, the station reports.

“Crime prevention deputies arrested a male in his 20s for narcotics-related charges. He was found (Wednesday) afternoon in his parked vehicle behind a motel on Sierra Highway.
“You asked for more patrol checks in areas, and that is exactly what our (Special Assignment) Team has been doing. They’ve been conducting directed patrol in Newhall, Saugus and Canyon Country. This is in addition to our regularly assigned patrol deputies. They’re monitoring the streets and on the watch for any suspicious or illegal activity.
“Over the course of a few days, SAT Team deputies had the following results in their directed patrol areas:
“* Arrested a female adult for possession of narcotic paraphernalia, as well as an outstanding warrant.
“* Arrested a male adult who was found to be in possession of several baggies containing methamphetamine.
“* Arrested a female adult for outstanding warrants.
“* Arrested a male adult for narcotics-related charges.”

drugs seems to be the biggest problem in the SCV.
And lemme guess, they were all out in an hour!?
Current law says you can:
Shoot Heroin
Shoot or smoke Meth
And it’s just an INFRACTION!!
Like a J walking ticket!!
all this in the front of your home or at your business with NO CONSEQUENCES!
Wake up people!! We need to repeal these bad laws!
