Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 04/20/2015 to 04/26/2015
A burglary to a vehicle occurred near the 23800 block of Copperhill Dr. The vehicle was parked in the shopping center parking lot. The suspect shattered the front passenger window and stole the victim’s tax return paperwork.
A petty theft was reported from the area of Newhall Ranch Road/Millhouse Lane. A battery from a maintenance company’s truck was stolen from this location.
There was a commercial burglary reported from the 26500 block of Bouquet Canyon Road. A male and a female entered the location and took over $500 worth of alcohol from the store. The suspects fled the location without paying for the alcohol.
An assault with a deadly weapon occurred near the 27600 block of Bouquet Canyon Road. The suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation over a parking space. The suspect threw a ceramic picture frame at the victim hitting her in the chest. The suspect was later located and arrested.
Please remember to lock your car doors at night. There have been several reports of thieves checking car doors to see if there open. Also, remove any visible items that would be attractive to thieves such as iPads, cell phones and purses.
