Tip of the Week: What’s in your purse or wallet?
If you stop and think about how much you keep in your purse or wallet, you will appreciate just how many sensitive items you are carrying, and how inconvenient it would be if they were lost or stolen. Wallets often contain your driver’s license, debit and credit cards, as well as auto and medical insurance cards.Additionally, women who carry purses often have their cell phones and house keys in them. When you leave these items in your vehicle in plain view and they are stolen, many times the thieves will also try to use your debit and credit cards, or even your identity.Additionally, if a thief steals your purse, the thief now has keys to your home, and your address. That can be a pretty scary thought.Whenever you are going to leave your vehicle unattended, try to take your purse or wallet with you .If you absolutely cannot, secure the items in the trunk or glove box and assure they are locked. The short time required to take some security measures could save you a lot of time calling banks, putting stops on debit and credit cards, and changing the locks in you home.
