Canyon Country (West) Crime Report: Week of November 7, 2016 thru November 13, 2016
The following crimes were reported in Canyon Country (West) during the week of November 7, 2016 thru November 13, 2016:
11/07/16
Aggravated Assault- 19100 block of Soledad Canyon Road
During a verbal altercation regarding rent between two renters at a bank parking lot, the suspect accelerated his vehicle striking the victim while he was walking toward a bank ATM. The suspect was arrested.
11/08/16
Residential Burglary- 27500 block of Orsini Avenue
Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s residence through a locked window. Person(s) unknown ransacked the inside, and according to the victim nothing was taken.
Commercial Burglary- 18816 block of Soledad Canyon Road
Person(s) unknown smashed the front window and ransacked the inside of a cell phone store.
11/12/16
Vehicle Burglary- 20400 block of Soledad Canyon Road
Person(s) unknown entered the victim’s vehicle by means unknown and stole a GPS and work ID badge.
11/13/16
Vehicle Burglary- 19200 block of Nearbrook Street
Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s vehicle by means unknown and stole a purse, watch and cash.
IF YOU WITNESS A CRIME
If you see or suspect a crime is being committed, pay particular attention to the features of the offender(s) and any vehicles involved. Try to be prepared to provide at least the following about the offenders:
When reporting a crime by telephone, remain on the phone until the dispatcher is fully briefed with all the information necessary to dispatch the appropriate response personnel to the scene.
1. Age, race, height, and weight;
2. Hair color and style, beard and mustache;
3. Notable characteristics (acne, scars, glasses mental state, etc.)
4. Clothing description;
5. Location where last seen;
6. Last known direction of travel;
7. Vehicle description and distinctive markings.
Witnesses who wish to remain anonymous may do so. It is more important that a response be dispatched as quickly as possible.
