Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 7:30 a.m., as part of a follow up investigation from information obtained via citizen informants, members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Narcotics Bureau, Marijuana Eradication Team, along with station narcotics investigators, served a search warrant in the 200 block of West 134th Street, unincorporated area of Los Angeles County.
At the conclusion of the operation, a large sophisticated marijuana growing operation was discovered inside a warehouse. Approximately 2,700 live plants were seized, along with approximately 20 pounds of finished marijuana product. The recovered marijuana has a combined estimated street value of $6.1 million.
Two adults were arrested for the cultivation of marijuana and booked at the Century Regional Detention Center. The suspects are being held in lieu of $50,000.00 bail.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
