[News Release] – Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, a local Dignity Memorial® provider, announced its 26th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony, dedicated to remembering the lives of our country’s heroes who fought for the freedoms we enjoy every day. The event will be held on Monday, May 26, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 N. Sierra Hwy., in Newhall.
“We are proud to again create a fitting tribute and to provide a serene location where we can join in honoring our veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us and for our country,” said Curtis Woods, II, general manager of Eternal Valley Memorial Park.
Guests will be greeted by a virtual carpet of more than 5,000 American flags that will be placed on the graves of local veterans by local Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts. The event, hosted jointly by the Santa Clarita Valley Veterans Memorial Committee and Eternal Valley Memorial Park will include moving tributes, musical performances, and salutes.
The event will take place in Eternal Valley’s mortuary building parking lot with cold refreshments for all attendees. In addition, parking attendants will ensure traffic flows smoothly and convenient shuttles will provide transportation for guests from their vehicles to the program area.
