Former College of the Canyons wide receiver Marquise Brown was selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the No. 25 pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft held in Nashville on Thursday.
Brown, who spent one season at COC in 2016, led the Cougars with 50 receptions for 754 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns. He also added two touchdowns in the return game (one kick return and one punt return) and amassed 1,341 all-purpose yards in 10 games.
For his efforts, Brown was named to the Southern California Football Association All-Conference First Team.
After his lone season at COC, the speedy wideout transferred to the University of Oklahoma, where he caught passes from Heisman Trophy winners Baker Mayfield in 2017 and Kyler Murray in 2018.
In his two years at Oklahoma, Brown accumulated 2,413 yards on 132 receptions, adding a total of 17 touchdowns.
Brown will now catch passes from another Heisman Trophy winner, second-year quarterback Lamar Jackson.
