The 40th annual St. Clare Lenten Fish Fry charity fundraiser begins at the Canyon Country church on Friday, February 16 from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and continues the next five Friday evenings — February 23, March 2, March 9, March 16 and March 23.
Generations of Santa Claritans have enjoyed St. Clare’s famous beer-battered Alaskan cod, served with coleslaw, a choice of French fries, rice pilaf or beans, and a dinner roll.
Fish tacos will also be available, served with rice and beans.
Milk and coffee won’t cost anything, and beer, wine, margaritas and soft drinks will be on sale.
Hungry people may dine in or take out (or enjoy outdoor patio seating).
The price will be $9 for a two-piece dinner, $9 for two fish tacos with rice and beans or $10 for a three-piece dinner.
Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
All proceeds will benefit local charities and families in need.
St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church is located at 19606 Calla Way, Canyon Country, 91351.
For more information, call 661-252-3353.
