Detectives Report Dead Body in Valencia as Suicide

[KHTS] – Homicide detectives responded to a reported suicide, after a dead body was found on the 24700 block of  Riverchase Drive in Valencia, officials said.

The victim was reportedly found dead at the scene, outside of the apartment complex at 5:20 p.m.

Homicide officials reported the death was a suicide.

Recent statistics indicate the North Los Angeles County region has the highest rate of calls for attempted and completed suicides in Los Angeles County, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department data.

There are 24-hour numbers available. In the event of an emergency, 911 should always be the first call. Those looking to speak with someone can call 1-800-273-8255, for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline; 1-800-854-7771, for The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health; and 1-800-784-2433, for The Treatment Advocacy Center.
