An independent studio operator recently signed a new 166,359 square-foot lease at Rockefeller Crossing, an industrial building in Valencia owned and operated by LBA Logistics.
CBRE’s Craig Peters and Sam Glendon represented the tenant and the landlord in the transaction.
The structure at 27420 Avenue Scott features 30’ clear-height ceilings, easy highway access, dock-high doors, and sits in proximity to a variety of amenities, including retail and food options.
“This is a prime location for a film studio within the TMZ and a great alternative to other, pricier destinations in LA County due to the city of Santa Clarita Valley’s extreme film-friendliness,” Peters said in a statement.
“This particular operator has been very active and increasing its footprint in the area, following a general trend in this region in response to the tremendous demand from content creators,” Peters said.
The entertainment industry has been a primary focus for both the city of Santa Clarita and local economic development team.
“We are excited to see more stages coming to the Santa Clarita Valley to provide homes to the many production companies searching for space in Southern California,” said Holly Schroeder, CEO of the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation. “We now have over 25 stages in our Valley which makes it one of the largest concentrations for the film and entertainment industry in Los Angeles County.”
