LAS VEGAS, NV – The Master’s College women’s basketball team wrapped up its time at the 2015 Las Vegas Shootout by taking down the 11th-ranked University of Great Falls Argos with an impressive 78-58 victory.
Sunday’s win improved the 14th-ranked Lady Mustangs’ 2015-16 record to 3-1.
Chayan Lowery (Spring Valley, CA) led TMC’s efforts by posting a double-double after claiming 16 points and 13 rebounds. Lowery also posted three blocks, while Sydney Emory (Spokane, WA) produced a team-leading three assists. Also scoring in double digits was Bianco Cubello (Riverside, CA) and Megan Lindsley (Vancouver, WA) by scoring 12 points and 11 points, respectively.
Collectively, TMC went 27-68 from the field, 8-22 behind the arc, and 16-21 from the charity stripe. In addition, the Lady Mustangs tallied 39 rebounds, 10 assists, nine turnovers, and seven blocks.
Looking forward, TMC will continue its time on the road and face NCAA Division III University of Redlands next Friday at the Redlands Tip-Off Classic. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
