Lisa Haley and the Zydekats will perform Sept. 24 at Castaic Days, event organizers have announed.
The fourth annual outdoor festival returns to the lake Friday night and Saturday, Sept. 23-24, promising two days of live music, entertainment and family fun. Launched in 2008, the event is run by the nonprofit Castaic Days Civic Association to promote the betterment of the Castaic community and the Castaic Lake Recreation Area.
Hailing from Hollywood, Haley (vocals, violin, viola, mandolin, Cajun accordion, jawharp) and her Grammy-nominated group are known to energize audiences with Louisiana French, Celtic, folk, jazz and blues music. They’ll close out the festival Saturday beginning at 7 p.m. Additional talent is expected to be announced soon.
Additional features of the event include gourmet food trucks, a reptile petting zoo, a kids’ limbing wall, video games, arts and crafts booths and even something for man’s best friend. A $20 ticket buys entry to “Spash Dogs,” where participating canines get two jumps into the lake.
