Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a man early Wednesday morning for assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly pulled a knife and a gun on another man at a local cocktail lounge in Canyon Country.
Here’s the story from the station’s official social media:
Early Wednesday morning, around 1:50, deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call on the 18200 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country.
Reportedly, there was a verbal altercation between the suspect and another customer at a cocktail lounge.
The 26-year-old victim, a male Hispanic, left the lounge and the suspect followed him, confronting him with a firearm and a knife. The suspect then took off on foot.
Deputies located the suspect just down the street in the parking lot of a different cocktail lounge.
The 53-year-old suspect, a male white from Canyon Country, was arrested on felony assault charges and deputies located a firearm and knife in the suspect’s vehicle.

Booze. I don’t like drugs personally but would be less angry people if these weirdos smoked pot instead of drink.
