Detectives have found and arrested the man suspected of robbing a Canyon Country store at gunpoint earlier this month.
At approximately 3:10 pm on Friday, July 31, 2015, Santa Clarita Station Detectives and the Special Assignment Team arrested suspect Jason Remon in the 8800 block of Etiwanda Avenue in Northridge. Remon was wanted in connection with a recent strong armed robbery and he is a possible suspect in a couple other armed robberies occurring at Santa Clarita business locations.
From an earlier alert from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department:
Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance in learning the whereabouts of robbery suspect Jason Remon.
On Friday, July 17, 2015, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the suspect entered a business located in the 27500 block of Sierra Highway, Canyon Country and demanded money at gunpoint.
He is also a suspect in a recent strong armed robbery and a possible suspect in a couple other armed robberies occurring at Santa Clarita business locations.
Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance in learning the whereabouts of robbery suspect Jason Remon.
JASON REMON is described as a 32-year-old heavily tattooed male White, approximately 5’ 10” and 140 pounds. He is to be considered armed and dangerous. He is known to frequent the Canyon Country area.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this suspect is encouraged to contact their local law enforcement agency or the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121. Do not approach the suspect. Call 911.

Tattoos, hair color, height, etc are obviously all strong identifiers of suspects. But with the saturation of people having tattoos these days, it’s funny that having some would identify you as “criminal” rather than typical. As for his being “prison style”, that’s one of the most popular forms of tattoos these days. Available from a regular ol’ tattoo artist.

I’m easy, just trying to get a handle on some of the comments. It’s pretty much what I thought.
The reality is – people judge. This guy has all the markings of a criminal. You don’t go to a job interview in sweats and flip flops. How do you expect to present yourself with all these tats?
“Presenting yourself” and being a criminal are pretty different things. What if he was applying for work in a bar? A record store? A tattoo parlor?
Point is, I know several people with facial tattoos. None of them are criminals. All of them are great people. Judge a book by it’s cover? Then don’t bother reading.
Old school here…it’s a long life if your lucky…your tastes will change with the years. ..I once gave myself permission…to have one…I don’t have a tatoo…oh there’s a million choices…but. ..I can only have one…what I liked in the 60s…70s..80 s…and so on…keeps changing…so does my taste…If you can’t pick one and stick with it….fughedda bout it….!
