Bill Hart peeks over the shoulder of Mayor Bob Kellar in the ground-floor lobby of City Hall on Tuesday.

Bill Hart peeks over the shoulder of Councilman Bob Kellar in the ground-floor lobby of City Hall.

Santa Clarita Elks Lodge and Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers announced Tuesday that City Councilman Bob Kellar, founder of the Elks Charity Roast and its first roastee, has agreed to serve himself up again this year.

Bob had this to say about the Roast:

“I am sure that many of you know the Sam Dixon Family Health Centers is a charitable organization that I am proud to be associated with.  It is for that reason I have agreed to be the 2014 Roastee of their annual fundraiser at the Santa Clarita Elks Lodge.  The work carried out by Sam Dixon is worthy of our support.  Please join me on Saturday March 8th for a fun evening benefitting a great cause by buying a table.  The four individuals that have come forth in an attempt to disgrace me will forever regret their decision.  There was a time when I thought Ken Pulskamp. Steve Arklin, Fred Arnold and Don Fleming were good friends; however, now there is a line in the sand and they have clearly crossed it.”

The 16th Annual Charity Roast will be held Saturday night, March 8, at 6 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Elks Lodge, 17766 Sierra Highway in Canyon Country.  Tables can be purchased for $2000, $1500 or $1000.  Call SDFHC at 661-257-2339 x 302 for information and reservations; or go online to http://www.sdfhc.org/donations.asp to purchase your table.
