The Old Town Newhall Library Community Room is currently featuring photographic art from Joseph Jasik-Drdol.
Jasik-Drdol art can be viewed in many cities across Europe where he’s had several exhibitions.
He was featured in a solo exhibit in June 2013 in Banska Bystrica in central Slovakia. This particular show featured 36 works by the artist.
Later that year, Jasik-Drdol was featured in the 2013 European Capital of Culture in Kosice, Slovakia.
Last year, Jasik-Drdol’s art was displayed in a solo show in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia and featured 30 images on canvas and aluminum.
“My art represents my own vision of abstract images in photography,” Jasik-Drdol said. “I am inspired by the reflection of objects in other objects. My art is created based on what I see, which are colors, forms and shapes and is not manipulated in anyway using a computer.”
The Santa Clarita public can view his photographs at the Old Town Newhall Library in the Community Room until Feb. 15, 2016.
The showcase will have a reception on Nov. 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and feature live music and light appetizers and the chance to meet the artist.
