UPDATE 2: On Monday at 10:24 a.m., the suspect identified as “Selena” contacted SCVTV via Facebook. She identified herself as Selena Herrera-Palafox and left the following message: “First of all we are not in large we already spoke to the sherrifs & get ur story right next time false info.” Her Facebook page indicates she is a 2006 graduate of Golden Valley High School.

UPDATE: (Sunday) – One of the adult suspects in a Sunday afternoon assault case turned herself in after learning from an SCVTV/SCVNews.com story that deputies were looking for her.

SCVTV ran the story on SCVNews.com Sunday at about 6:30 p.m. and included her gang nickname. SCVTV also “pushed” the story on Twitter, Facebook and other social media outlets.

SCV Sheriff’s Lt. Tom Bryski said the woman walked into the sheriff’s station at about 9:30 p.m. and surrendered because she saw her name in the story.

It is believed she is the suspect who allegedly brandished the gun. Bryski said the (real) names of the suspects were not being released because the other three are still at large.

Psycho, Little Quack Quack on the Lam in Newhall

Deputies are hunting tonight for three female gang members and one gang affiliate who allegedly attempted to ram a person with their car and threatened the victim with a gun in a Newhall alley around 5 p.m.

The four suspects, ranging in age from 16 to their 30s, sped away from the location in a boxy four-door sedan. The car is gloss black and has a distinctive, foot-wide gray stripe from the front to back wheel wells.

All four suspects are known by their gang names to local deputies. All are described as Hispanic.

Allegedly brandishing the black handgun was a 30-ish woman known as Tiny. She is just 4-foot-9 in height, about 110 to 120 pounds, with reddish hair and gang tattoos on various parts of her body.

The second suspect goes by the name of Psycho and is 28 to 30 years old, 5-foot-1 and 140 to 150 pounds with black hair.

The third suspect is known as Little Quack Quack because she bears a tattoo with that moniker. She’s 16 years old, 5-foot-3 and just 60 to 90 pounds.

The first three are known to be members of a local gang; suspect No. 4 is identified as an affiliate of the gang. She is known as Selena, age 28, 5-foot-1 and “bulky” with black hair.

Deputies were searching for them in the East Newhall area. According to Lt. Tom Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, the four were still at large at 6:15 p.m.
