Registration remains open for more than 340 short-term classes still available during the College of the Canyons spring 2026 semester.
With start dates scheduled throughout March and April, late-start classes are offered at the college’s Valencia and Canyon Country campuses, as well as online, providing flexible options for students balancing work, family and other commitments.
“We know many of our students are balancing school with work and family responsibilities,” said Dr. David Vakil, interim assistant superintendent and vice president of instruction at the college. “Short-term classes, which are available in person and online, provide the flexibility students need to stay on track and continue making progress.”
New and continuing students can enroll in a wide range of subjects, including Wilderness Survival (REC-123-99969), History of Photography (PHOTO-140-91557), and Music of the Americas (MUSIC-110-99651).
Many of the available courses meet general education and transfer requirements for four-year universities, making them an appealing option for high school and returning adult students alike.
In addition, the college’s School of Personal and Professional Learning (PPL) will offer 360 short-term, tuition-free classes throughout March and April. Open to community members of all ages and skill levels, PPL courses are designed to support lifelong learning and professional development. Offerings include AI research and navigation courses (NC.BCSK 003 & 004), well as computer classes (NC.CAWT) and Photoshop (NC.VOC 021 A, B & C).
Registration for short-term classes will remain open until courses are filled.
